Steve (audience)

Who are you sir (or madame)?
I’m Steve the Regular! Not to be confused with the Steve we all know and love to watch perform.

When did you start coming to rocky and how long have you been a regular?
I was de-virginized on August 1, 2008 and I’ve been coming again and again and again ever since.

Why do you keep coming back?
When you become a regular, you inherit a sense of duty. You must support the cast and keep them enthusiastic by maintaining a high audience energy. Oh yeah, and someone’s gotta help molest the virgins during Time Warp, right?

Which scene is your favorite?
“Over at the Frankenstein’s Place” allows me to get up, run around, and soak the entire audience with my patented dual squirt-gun technique! DARKNESS GODDAMMIT!!

Which character is your favorite?
Colombia, definitely. She’s the reason I started in on this path of weekly degeneracy.

Do you have a favorite callback?
It’s not so much a callback as an action…back. During the “I Can Make You a Man” reprise when the wailing guitars come in – that’s when I get to rock out with the cast in some intense Wyld Stallyns headbanging!

Where are you from?
I’m a Southern Californian by nature. Raised near L.A. and emigrated to ‘El Diego in middle school.

What do you do for work or what do you study in school?
I’m the head audio engineer for the UCSD Theatre & Dance Department. And I bloody love my job.

What interests you beside RHPS?
Two words: Dungeons and freakin’ Dragons. I get way into it. I love to play and I love to create adventures as a Dungeon Master. Let me know if you have any miniatures that you want to sell me. On that note, I also like to gear up in armor and have a good swordfight whenever I get the chance.

What is your favorite non-RHPS movie?
Oh hell, there’s a whole list, and it’s always changing. Some universal constants include The Count of Monte Cristo, A Night at the Roxbury, Army of Darkness, The Emperor’s New Groove, and anything by Miyazaki.

What is your favorite book or who is your favorite author?
I don’t read much at all these days…sadly. Although I can say with authority that Stephen Pastis cracks me up more often than any other cartoonist out there. If you buy me a Pearls Before Swine collection book, I’ll love you forever.

A little more about me:
I’m a member of The Black Company, a medieval band of mercenaries that put on live steel fighting demonstrations at various events. You can always find us at the bi-annual Escondido Renaissance Faire at Felicita Park. I also ride a motorcycle, drive a convertible, and spend time dangling and rappelling from theatre catwalks. Did I mention that I love my job?
